Publishing ActionScript Applications & Games for Apple IPhone

Good News. Adobe labs recently announced that FLASH CS5 to be released by the end of 2009 will be 100% compatible with Apple IPhone and IPods, opening the doors of the App Store for thousands of ActionScript 3.0 developers, and to make things even better, ActionScript stays 3.0, not 4.0! iPhone applications built with Flash Platform tools are compiled into standard, native iPhone executables,just like any other iPhone application.

Scrutiny. There are a few applications already out there as you can see here, and unlike deploying for the web, AS3 developers will still be scrutinized before they post their applications for sale, by submitting them to Apple for review, following the program guidelines.

Be the first one to know. Adobe will notify right after Flash CS5 is released. It is possible to request a notification here.
