Creativity. Forget the Logitech web cam. These guys are the masters of the Hidden Camera. Coke cans, Boom Boxes, Wall Clocks, Smoke Detectors, even pens! They claim security, and with a lot of creativity, and most likely efficiency. These Hidden Cameras are actually video recorders and they don’t need to be connected to a pc and they record every move. Great for “security”.
Easy Money. There has been recently scores of paparazzi peeping toms trying (and many times making) a hefty profit from indiscreet pictures. One right click and it can fetch tens of thousands, easy. True Case. I once was on a house call giving network support on a hostel for youth groups and saw on the security video clearly a thief coming in through the window, at a recorded time of midnight. The shot was presented to the police, which could not do much about. Several items were stolen, none retrieved. Not only that, the thief has now his claim for fame.
