I am launching http://internet-timer.com/ It goes like this:
Domain Flipping. The domain has a value. It is 2 words, with a clear meaning, it could be worth something, actually is on sale on godaddy. Life in general and business specifically are based on positive thinking, it may happen.
But what if it doesn’t? The total cost for maintaining the site once is finished is $10 for domain renewal, once a year. I get a discount if I renew for several years and although Google denies that domain age affects SERP’s (search engine result pages) many domainers take the age of a domain into consideration when quoting a price. So it’s possible to leave the domain “aging” like a stock or bond.
Additional Income. I learned from Lisa Irby several techniques on affiliate marketing. With all my respect to Adsense, most professional bloggers already dropped the program long ago, due to low rates, It is sweet to have passive, no risk income but we are looking for more than a few cents a click. So blending advertisers with content, building trust, some peddling can severely improve revenue performance. It demands a bit of brains and some risk but surely pays off.
Blending Advertisers. So the plan is to blend some CPA (cost per action) advertisers, currently adult site filters, speculating that concerned mothers will use the service to monitor kids online. That also increases traffic that will add value to the domain with time.
Possible Risks. The only danger I see here is try to pump traffic using CPC (cost per click) incorrectly it many times goes out of control causing losses.
Looks like a sweet, creative, positive idea, with very little to lose.
