While most hosting companies get creative to compete on an already cut throat market , Justhost comes with a very questionable idea of providing the host alone, not even domain registration. They do give a domain for “free” on registration, but that is about it. Their chat is outsourced by live person, meaning that they hired someone to do the job. They have a better business bureau logo but it leads to a page with recommendation of meaningless affiliate sites, with not better business bureau whatsoever. The customer support (screen shot above) did even have a clue of what I was talking about.
They also claim to have a backup every week, while some other hosts, for the same price do it every hour, and yes, they also pay affiliates and reseller, a premium commission well above the market. Their host farm is located in Chicago, USA which may improve SERP’s for the US where the value per click is higher. Their site fails to supply answers to even simple details such as operational system Linux or Windows, and yes, the “
customer support” did take some time to answer that too.
Bottom Line. Just stay away from “just host” at any price.
