How to Start Buying Traffic to Score Sales

Peddling Pay Per Click Campaigns. I do have a couple of Adwords clients. One is a come back client. He sends me a check every month. Sorry folks, no check scan this time, and besides, it is in shekels. His equation is very simple. For every $400 he gives me, he gets lots more, in sales. This is called a positive return over investment (ROI). He likes my services a lot, and I don’t have to work that hard either, once the keyword list and prices are configured. The second client does come back, but not for Adwords. He plunged $800 once, become famous in town, but never got a sale, this is a negative ROI. If you are going to peddle PPC campaigns, have in mind you are dealing with risk.

Finding Products to Campaign for. It is well know that most of Google’s mega income comes from Adwords. The estimated percentage going around the net is over 90%. They make money. I began liking the game and tried translating high cost words such as Web Hosting to distant languages such as Hebrew, with some success, still I need a lot of traffic and budget to make this a active revenue source. I scored a $85 commission on a $50 budget, this month. Another classic obstacle is that you finally find affordable keywords but then the commissions do not compensate the investment, a negative ROI.

Overall the game is fascinating. We once had an event planner, that found that most clicks for weddings were coming from Vegas, meaning that even though the price per click was the same, as anywhere else, the probability to close a deal if the click was from Vegas is far higher.

Trading Leads. The best start for a positive ROI is to bid on low keywords for a high paying service. The game is dangerous and pays off nicely if done right. Another well known technique is to set a dummy site, and sell the leads to real business. There are tons of people doing this here, namely for Moving Companies, and Credit Card Collection, both over saturated niches, and yes, unfortunately there are also people trading the leads, meaning that they buy, try and then resell.

The Adwords interface is pretty intuitive and I have several acquaintances, not on the IT field that did themselves. My lawyer hit a positive ROI, but also dropped feeling that the media was not fit for his business.

Building Your Business with Google For Dummies

Common Sense. There is no additional need other than the practice on the website itself and is check stats frequently for traffic sources, click costs and other data. It is not mechanic, demands logic and common sense. Peddling items for low credit card density locations, will result in losses. Use your head and good Luck.
